HEllo, a while back I managed to configure my HP Psc2210 multifunction device by simply using YAST and configuring both the printer and the scanner. Of course I had to configure them separately nevertheless they worked great. Unfortunately yesterday I had to reinstall everything on my laptop and I have been having trouble trying to configure the scanner on my PSC 2210.

I go to YAST and the scanner is autodetected I press on it and it then asks me to select the type of driver I want, it doesnt matter if I choose PSC 2210 I am able to press next and the driver is installed. Unfortunately when I go to kooka it doesnt detect my device and says that SANE did not recognize it. I know that there is something wrong because I was able to use Kooka without a problem before. Anyways to see if I an solve this I go back to YAST and install the PSC 2210 driver and unfortunately I get an error message. What can I do to solve this problem????

Even SuSE 10.0 is two releases behind on HPLIP. Go to the HP site and download the latest HPLIP. I did that to get my PSC 1410 to work. Note that the fact that a printer name was retrieved on a USB port doesn't guarantee its recognized with an appropriate driver.
