Problem with Internet in Suse 9.3

Hi to all.
I have a problem with internet in Suse 9.3
I have install kppp to have access to the web but when i am connecting to the
internet i am not able to open Web sites with Firefox or Konqueror.
I can see than i am connecting from kppp screen.
I have check the settings from the web browser and there are the
"Direct Connection to the internet" option enable both of 2 browsers.

There is anyone who can help me?

Did ping worked?
If you cannot ping the internet server, your system may have not been configured to use the connections made by kppp

same problem i encountered in mandriva last time.
what i did is to disable firewall,
reboot and reconnect, things fixed.
Anyway, now i got broadband, I configure my ADSL modem to autodial, i turn on my modem first before booting SUSE,
suse will autodetect my connection and it surfs like flying!!!

Thanks a lot of your help.
I find where the problem was.

I have default getaway my networks getway so i wasn't able to have access to internet from dial up.
Now it is working.
