Arrow playing movies and mp3

hi
how to play movies (DVD/CD) in suse 9.3 pro, xmms is also not working. i checked the plugins in xmms but, im unable to add files to playlist... is this a bug. !!!

What do you mean by not working?

What error messages?

you may need to install the xmms-mp3 package for MP3s

Search the internet for the packages required for the DVD codecs.

For DVDs you will need xine or mplayer with libdvdcss. You can get xine packages from here.

to play dvd´s, download the mplayer from packman.links2linux.org. It is great!

I'd recommend you load kmplayer as well. It front ends both xine and mplayer. The UI is better and it makes configuration easier.
