Optimizing Linux Suse 9.3 Pro

I have Linux Suse 9.3 Pro installed, but it seems to run quite slow. Is there any way of optimizing it so that it may run faster?

Can you quantify "quite slow"? Do you mean it doesn't boot up as fast as you would like? Apps run slowly? Something else? Boot up times have been discussed quite a bit in this forum, and a roughly one minute boot up is fairly normal. Perhaps if you could post some of the relevant details of your system (CPU type, speed, memory, hard disk) plus the things that make you think it is slow under SuSE, we could comment more fully.
