opensuse, yum & zypper

Hey, Here are my questions about yum under suse 11.1:

(1) Anyone successfully installs yum on suse 11.1? (It's tough)
(2) Any differences between yum and zypper under suse 11.1?

Thanks!

Why ? Zypper works faster than yum ?

And has the same functions .. or more.

So why spend a week with that ?
