Thats true, but people usually do not like to read because it may be overwhelming.

If your videos showed something that docs didn't cover, or addressed extremely common scenarios where the docs have gaps, that would be one thing. But, there's no "value add" to watching someone click "next, next, next" through an installation or trying to give a primer on what -you- feel is the most important information to have when beginning with OpenSUSE.

By the way - Getting started with OpenSUSE should cover nuances of the distro, not basic linux commands that apply to just about every distro out there.

And SUSE is an "odd ball"
a rpm Operating system BUT uses "zypper" and NOT yum

defaults to app-armor and not SElinux
well in the current nether are default but se is NOT easy to set up

uses "sudo" as default and the first non root user for sudo
BUT
one can custom install a real root account and use "su - "

suse also uses SCRIPTS!!!! for everything !!!
you really do NEED to use the GUI yast and NOT the terminal

and for a rpm based distro -- that IS odd

I've been using SUSE in various forms for a decade. I've never installed AppArmor OR SE Linux on them, I don't use the GUI, and largely don't bother with sudo because it's not of the paradigm that I learned from a security standpoint (you NEVER EVER EVER allow your general user account to have administrative permissions - and this is exactly what SUDO does).

What's wrong with scripts? I've never had an issue with installation, configuration, or operation because of scripts.
