I have installed openSuSE 13.1 on my computer.
Output of
rpm -qa | grep java yields:
libjavascriptcoregtk-3_0-0-2.2.1-1.1.x86_64
java-1_7_0-openjdk-headless-1.7.0.6-24.13.5.x86_64
timezone-java-2013h-1.1.noarch
libjavascriptcoregtk-1_0-0-2.2.1-1.1.x86_64
java-1_7_0-openjdk-1.7.0.6-24.13.5.x86_64
javapackages-tools-2.0.1-4.1.2.x86_64
But, javac cannot be found. So I suspect that only the runtime is
installed but not the development package of Java.
Is that a correct analysis?
I want to proceed to download and install
from the site
http://de.opensuse.org/Sun_Java
But, before I get myself into trouble I wanted to ask the experts hopefully
listening in on this forum.
Do I really have to trigger the download myself, will an appropriate zypper command not do that for me?
Thanks Peter
