Question noob wants open-suse "same as" suse LES 11 and 12

I have a task to create a docker container (a recipe) based on SUSE 11 SP 4 in it. The host OS must be SUSE 12 SP 5. I realize these are really old distributions.

So, I want to set up a VM and container to emulate as close as possible to what a customer has. The final delivery is a docker recipe which the customer will use. I want a setup that has a good chance of working at a customer's real site. I promise I did try to figure out what and where to download, but it is confusing as heck. I believe I want openSUSE equivalents of the SUSE enterprise builds, but I don't know. I also don't mind using SUSE or openSUSE although I'll likely need more than 60 days to complete the work.

Perhaps the problem is that these versions are old. Would someone be willing to provide simpleton instructions with links to the exact location (ie link and also name of distribution) of what I want? Presumably, this would be a location of an install *.iso image for the 12SP5 host and a docker base build for 11SP4.

Thank you.

I don't think anybody can guarantee that OpenSUSE xyz is equivalent to SLES, or provide instructions how to make it equivalent. But both SLES 12 SP5 and SLES 11 SP4 can be downloaded after obtaining a free trial license: https://www.suse.com/products/server/download.

Of course, in a few months your versions will be different from your customer's, since SUSE provides regular updates. Your updates will stop when the trial license expires after two months.

The corresponding openSUSE distro's won't be maintained anymore, but as SLE 11 SP 4 is from 2015, the then active openSUSE one probably would be 42.1 (first of the leap ones). The next 2 are 42.2 (may 2016) and 42.3 (july 2017).

BTW: with your SLES license you should be able to download, instal and update SLE Desktop 12 SP 4 too (there will be no SP 5 anymore as SLED goes EOL end of the month).
But that still gives you more than a week to update it to the latest security versions.
