No media playback after codec-fix!

I did the installation of the restricted formats as shown on the openSUSE community page. Since then, no media players can play any type of formats or music. Yes, the sound is ON and the volume is at the top, the music/songs just never starts to play.

I tried to open Banshee in a terminal to see if I got anything useful from there, and this is what I got when I clicked on a song:

(Banshee:9024): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description: assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed

Code:
(Banshee:9024): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description: assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed
Setting IO Backend to Banshee.IO.Unix.IOConfig (unix)
Any help appreciated!

hi, why not download mplayer and compile it.it is easy and good though u must also download the gui frontend.else u can also use it at da command line.
i too had a problem with banshee, totem and try everything to no avail. but mplayer has every thing rather than da other players , though it may be a bit course.
