I’ve just installed SUSE 10.1 on my laptop (Acer WLMI 1692, ATI X700 graphics card) and during my exploration , while entering one of the games, I saw that I had no 3D support. Did anyone came across the same problem? and is this due to SUSE not recognizing the ATI driver?? If somebody could help me out I would be forever grateful.
Cheers
PS; I am pretty new at this, but you might have guessed that already
SUSE 10.1 does not include the video drivers for NVIDIA nor ATI. You must download and install the video drivers from ATI or NVIDIA. Do read their install instructions, as well, since the video drivers must be installed from the CLI in Runlevel 3. There are several places you can find instructions for video driver installation.
