NIS user 3D acceleration

Hi All,

SUSE 10.2

Do you have any ideas on how to give 3D accleration to NORMAL users who are a part of NIS. I tried setting:

Section "DRI"
Group "video"
Mode 0666
EndSection

and even added the NIS user name to group "video" (in /etc/group)

There is NO 3D accn users from NIS. (As a local user every thing is OK)

Many thanks,

Is there a difference in the list of groups returned by 'id'? glxinfo shows that direct rendering is switched off?
