Login, Monitor shutoff, 3d acceleration, 3 problems/issues w. 9.3

I have three issues I'd like to get resoveld.
I just recently installed SUSE 9.3, so it could be due to my lack of knowlegde.

1: I don't want the screen to power save, ever. I just want it to stay on, regardless. I've tried messing with the profiles, but can't figure out how.

2: I want to be prompted for password each time the machine is booted/rebooted, Im aware that this could be because I chose the wrong "user mode" during installation. I've looked at security settings, but I don't know which setting is the right one.

3: I cant get 3d acceleration to work. It keeps telling me to install the drivers by running update, which i already did.

Ok, that's all
Thank you in advance

Edit:
Moderator, this should probably be move to the newbie section. Sorry for any inconvinence

1 Yast2 >>>System >> Energy Control ( or something like that - since I use a Dutch version I don't know exactly but it is an icon with a battery and a power connector) Here you can deal with the power save. Check also your Bios!!!!!!

2 Change it in Yast2 >>>System>>>Security and Users (Icon With Keyring)

3 Which Video Board ? Nvidia ? Read at the nvidia site - for some cards you need an older driver.
