Login Menu only shows Root user.
At boot time when the system is all the way up the login box appears but with only one user showing and that's ROOT.
My login id doesn't show. I'm running SUSE 9.2. Where in the panels could I find the settings in order to get all the user to show up at the login prompt?
You have set the login manager to hide users, whether you intended to or not, that's the problem. To unhide users,
Control Center - System Administration - Login Manager - Users tab. Click on the Administrator button at the bottom, enter root password in the dialogue that comes up. In the frame in the center of the page, you will see all users listed. Those checked (root) are visible. Those unchecked and hidden. Check those you want to see in the login box.
Note: you can still login even if the user's name is hidden.
