Very simple :
'rpm -Uvh --nodeps handbrake-0.9.3-2.i386.rpm'
And everything works fine, to open "Handbrake"
please do the command 'ghb'
The "--nodeps" (no dependencies) option causes no
problems with the Suse package management system.
Handbrake is a very interesting piece of software,
all audio and video dependencies are included in
the 2 executables, 'ghb' and 'HandBrakeCLI'
( HandBrakeCLI is the command line tool )
It is also possible to compile the source code on
Suse 11, the build tool is "jam" also taking care
of downloading the 16 included dependencies :
a52dec, ffmpeg, faac, faad2, lame, libdca, libdvdread,
libmkv, libmp4v2, libogg, libsamplerate, libtheora,
libvorbis, mpeg2dec, x264, xvidcore.
As mentioned before, they are all compiled into the
executable(s).
Things used to build HandBrakeCLI are :
jam, gcc-c++, nasm, libtool, (git)
And for the GUI ( ghb ) :
intltool, glib2-devel, gtk2-devel, hal-devel,
gtkhtml2-devel.
