Question Kopete OK with SuSE firewall2?

Tried IRC chat for the first time, but n0 0ne talked to me...
Can folks confirm that I don't need to tweak my firewall settings if I am using the default port 6667? I have not enabled masquerading (but have disabled traceroute); GRC.com shows the port to be closed (I am behind a router) but my logs show packets accepted with SPT6667 DPT 1615.
Thanks
naps
PS SuSe 9.1

PS OK, folks are talking to me now! No need to reply unless to correct my misconceptions/ignorance
