Is there a Suse Linux Enterprise version for Software Developers/Programmers?

Hi,

I didn't see a version of SLE on suse.com for developers. RHEL has one (actually two) for developers which is available for $99. Does SLED come with tools for developers?

Thanks.

Am NON-Technical, though often curious, with sentiment towards SUSE, openSUSE and others ; -)

IMHO all versions of linux provide opportunities and various levels of support for developers.

https://www.suse.com/subscriptions/developer/

SUSE is a commercial linux with a good history of support for business, where exists critical need for stability, SUSE provides a 365-day subscription for both businesses and solution developers on SUSE Linux Enterprise (Server and or Desktop).

Check out their site and forums to help you choose which suits your requirements.

openSUSE itself is a stable platform, with forums which provide user self-help support.

openSUSE forums provide considerable voluntary support to users, particularly those interested in developing further, openSUSE thus SUSE.

There is encouragement for software developers, as acts like a testing ground to ensure changes in openSUSE satisfy core need of business for stability in SUSE.

There is considerable encouragement for developers.

Suggest you check out the tools, support, available for both

the openSUSE forums: https://forums.opensuse.org/forum.php

BTW support can also be found here at linuxquestions :- )
