IPTables not saving rules


I have searched the web for a solution and every page I come accross seems
to say use iptable-save or /sbin/service iptables save. None of them work on the server at work. I have reloaded the service but the rule isn't there when I list all the rules.

The file it mensions isn't on my laptop hence I don't think it will work with suse.
