How define virtual network interface in Suse 9.3 ?

Hello

In suse 9.0 you could define a virtual interface at startup in for example
/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0:0

This works not anymore in suse 9.3.

From hand i.e.
ifconfig eth0:0 <IpAdress>
it works still in Suse 9.3

Any hints?

Thanks

Beat
