Help needed: Installing SLES10 on an IBM p5 series

Hey,

First of all this is my first post on this discussion board. I hope it will be a pleasant experience to become a member of this discussion board

Now the problem...

... I'm attempting to install Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 on a IBM PowerPC Machine (eserver p5). I created a Virtual Machine for this purpose, but it gives giving me problems. The most weird thing is that the errors keep being different:

- When starting the installation, when loading the kernel, it just stops with this message: "kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!"
- Other times it doesnt give this message on loading the boot but it gives some other error messages also, while loading the kernel. (i'll post them here as soon as i get them again).

So the thing is... Is there any GOOD website that you know with some nice tutorial for this specific installation, or with good troubleshooting advices?

I keep looking and looking and I cant find any reference website that fits to my needs. The documentation on the Suse Linux installation DVD doesnt seem that good to me as well, since i configure everything as they specify and it giving problems...

Thanks in advance,
Pedro

New error

forget about the previous post issue...

now the real problem i'm getting is:

1. I boot my Virtual Machine from the Suse Linux DVD
2. It starts fine, with 3 different choices. I choose "Installation"
3. It starts loading, but then i get this error message:

Kernel Panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Has anyone ever had this problem, or can figure out some way to fix it?

I don't have many clues of what can be going wrong... any help will be appreciated
