having TV input in Suse 10.0

I have been trying to get my ATI 8500 DV All-in-Wonder to work with os Suse 10.0 but can not
Some say it available, but not how.

This is what I have listed in hardware radeaon 8500 DV edition
and r200 BC what this means who knows.

I have tried it all.
ATI 8,24,x I was able to load drivers No TV input 8.25.X not yet.
Gatos never were able to load crivers correctly I guess tv input never worked.

I am not as interrested in gamimg as much as being able to edit/capture vcr tapes, live tv, etc.

I have tried motv xawtv tvtime all fail to see tuner card on ATI 8500 DV.

my system suse 10.0 kernel 2.6.13.15
P4 1.9 mhz
asus p4t e mobo
SB audigy gamer sound card, I can post what ever info might help someone.

I am a newbie, but have alot experience installing suse 4 times to date related to ATI tv tuner.

This card is a tuner or does it just have input video from another source. Because I couldn't get my 64MB Radeon VIVO card to grab video either. I had to buy a wintv tuner card. Kdetv is pretty good. Xawtv is standard fair and easy to use. There are 2 or 3 other programs that are really good but, I'm on m$ box at work so I'll have to go home and find it, I think it starts with a "T". Anyway, good luck.

Its a tuner card, i have the ability to watch tv in XP but I'm trying to get away from windows my only hang up is being able to have tv input.
wintv card may be my only option, although ATI say's it supports tv input on the 8500 DV all in wonder 64mb, Suse 10.0 doesn't.

With the tuner card (like most tvs it has a cable input jack).
And RCA jacks: audio left and right and video input, S-video input, unlike most tv's-firewire input (these are for additional input devices IE: VCR;s DVD player's ETC like most tv's)
and RCA jacks: audio left and right and video output,s-video output (if I would like to hook up a tv)
When I log into XP I select tv I have a directv reciever (for the dish signal).
Directv come in through S-Video jack (which has no sound input) so I use the audio RCA jack input left/right audio.
The tuner in the ATI card stays on channel 3 just like the old tv's with adaptor and I watch any tv show on my monitor I want.
Reading ATI site I can't use video capture (not supported) only with gatos drivers.
Shame, but I should still be able to watch tv.

In "Yast" under "hardware" it shows under

(I didn't list what was listed in resources or x11)
This tells me the os is seeing different devices on the card, but I'm new to this not sure what it means.
Anyone have a 8500?
What does your hardware tree look like?

this is my "/etc/X11/xorg,config":
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "aticonfig Monitor 0"
EndSection

Section "Device"

VendorName "ATI"

Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Graphics Adapter 0"
Driver "fglrx"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
EndSection

Any thoughs, Ideals please.
