gigabyte amd64

I have all five disks for 10.0 it starts fine and begins installation. After the installation updates my machine nothing works and it hangs at diferant points constantly.
I have a gigabyte ga-k8vm800m, amd 3000+ and didn't have this problem on my soyo dragon.

I just installed the same mobo with a Sempron 2800+ and it works great. My installation source is the retail SuSE 10.0 DVD from Novell but it shouldn't matter if yours is OSS. I'd want to check that the CD's burned correctly.
