Question Dual Booting

I'm very new to Linux, so please answer in "n00b language."

Anyway, I have Windows XP: Home Edition. I would like to set up a dual boot with SuSE 9.2 Professional. I've played around with the setup a bit and it seems very easy. Can I trust SuSE to do all the partitioning crap? Will it do it automatically? I know you can tell the setup to do it, and I know how, I just want to know if I can trust it.

Thanks.

I never give all my trust over to any software that is about to partition my drive.... but I can tell you that I have done a dual boot with previous versions and it turn out ok, it even linked the Windows Partition to my desktop in Kde for me.....

but I don't think anyone here will stake their name on it, that you wont run into a problem......

Best Rule of thumb: If you NEED it, BACK it up!!!! Windows is easy enough to reinstall....

Ok, thank you! I'm going to back up and try it next weekend.

I found an article on www.linux.com by Beret called "Boot-managing your Linux+Windows box" I found it helpful.
