Changing Keyboard Language

I installed SuSE 9.3 Evaluation edition, and when configuring it I guess I accidently set it up with a UK keyboard layout (wanted English (UK) language, with a English (US) keyboard). Anyway I set it to English (US) in YaST hardware, but whenever I reboot it seems to want to use UK layout. If i go into YaST hardware to change it, it will say it already is in English (US) then it will start working normally. Is there anyway to set this manually so YaST doesnt need to be reminded whenever i want to use the / key etc ?
