ACPI, Gkrellm, Beagle issues in SuSE 10.0 GM

I just installed SuSE 10.0 (GM-Eval version, with all the closed-source stuff) yesterday. It does run nicely and quickly, but I have a few issues with it.

1. My laptop, an older Gateway 600 with a P4-M chip, is having ACPI trouble with 10.0. The SpeedStep does not work with the powersaved, nor do performance profiles. The chip would just run flat out at 2.2 GHz instead of throttling back to 1.2 GHz when idle. I also get ACPI warnings in the suspend-to-disk screen (although that works fine.) This worked perfectly in SuSEs 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3. I have a work-around with using cpuspeed -i 1 -d to daemonize the cpuspeed function to take over where powersaved failed. Is this a common problem?

2. Beagle works just fine, but mono-best, beagle-helper, and evolution gradually eat up a lot of RAM over time. They will go from using 250 MB of RAM from between the 3 of them to about 500MB in about six hours. I like Beagle and do not want to turn it off, but I had to quit the indexing in order to avoid eating up all the RAM. Is there a solution to this?

3. Gkrellm 2.2.7 likes to hang and freeze momentarily frequently. All other apps work just fine, but this is annoying. Getting RPMs or building from source gives the same results. Have any luck or know a workaround?
