I cant seem to find the 9.2 for download anywhere.
Is it much different than 9.1?
Also , what does " personal" mean for the version 9.1 ? Is it kinda of a "limited" installation... ?
The main SuSE distribution is only sold in boxes, you can't just download it. The Personal version is a cut-down version that they make available for download. It's aimed at purely end users, and does not ship with, for instance, GCC. (Although you can download it easily enough once installed).
You can't find SuSE 9.2 for download yet because they have not yet released a personal version of it (I suspect).

but you can download gcc after a 9.1 installation right?
Sure, there are no ISO's of a full SuSE available for download, but:
You can always get a free and almost complete installation via FTP. The software for this installation has only been reduced for some commercial packages, but it is far more software available than on the Personal-ISO.
As far as I know, there will be no more Personal-ISO available in 9.2, but usually SuSE/Novell releases the FTP-version one or two months after the CD release. The announcement and source packages are already on the server.
To answer your second question: Yes, that is possible by adding the FTP-server to the installation sources. It is essentially the same what you get with an FTP-installation.
