9.1 64bit wireless

I'm trying my best to do all the reading I can but I am struggling.

I have an AMD64 3500+ on a Asus A8V board with a d-link dwl-g520 wifi card.

When I do a fresh install [default install packages] of suse 9.1pro 32bit... the network automatically configures itself.

when I do a 64bit install [default packages]... I just cant get the network. it configures it as a ethernet card rather than a wlan. but reguardless what settings I use, it just doesnt work.

what needs to be done differently for the 64bit version?

[thank you in advance]
