[Suse 10.2] problem with adding KDE update repository

Hi,

I want to update KDE to 3.5.6 and try to add a KDE update repository.
I get the following error:

http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/reposit … nSUSE_10.2
Unknown Error: Downloading metadata failed (is YUM source?) or user did not accept remote source. Aborting refresh.

I get the same error with other KDE repositories. Someone any ideas how to solve this?

Hi PatrickV, let me ask some questions:
1) Are you using YAST Installation Source to add the repository?
2) Did you received some Import GPG Key confirmation?
3) Have you tried again later? Sometimes there are temporary failures in connection to the repo servers.

(1) Yes I do.
(2) No the error popups before the GPG key confirmation
(3) I tried a few days ago. Maybe I should wait and try again tomorrow.

Other repositories works well.

Ok. Let us know. As alternative you can try to use the command rug to add sources. Here is a brief howto from SuSE Linux Support forums. Eventually you will need something like
Code:
rug sa http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/... "KDE update"
