Media containing only source is not bootable so there is no work around.
SUSE-10.0-DVD-SRC-GM.iso
contains all sources for the applications which are included
on any 10.0 media. A download of single source rpms is possible
via http://ftp.opensuse.org

I installed 10.0 from this particular DVD using minimal boot.iso which loaded kernel and recognized the packages on DVD.

You cannot install a system from the SRC discs, they contain source rpms meant for rebuilding packages or for developers to take a look at the code. Download the discs containing the binary packages and install from there.
