CIF Mount times out error 110 but able to browse via smb:/ (SUSE 10.3)
I can access disks on a W2K3 server box from a SUSE 10.3 laptop -- works fine via smb:/ and then browse the shares. Can also read and write to the drives.
When however I try and MOUNT a drive it times out with error 110.
blackdog:~ # mount -t cifs //homeserver/I /mnt/nwdisk
Password:
mount error 110 = Connection timed out
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)
blackdog:~ #
The entered password is correct and no problem with connections to the W2K3 box -- printing works fine etc etc.
Any ideas as I need the disks to be mounted so I can access them in applications such as Open Office ot The GIMP.
Thanks
