Why my solaris9 return to 1970

I have oracle DB server with solaris9 sparc installed. ANd ntp is enabled on the DB server. However, the DB server data returned to 1970 today so that my oracle service is down. Any bug on that?

Dead BIOS battery ???. Sounds like it's reset to the epoch.

I would look at the BIOS as well. It may need to be updated, along with OS and/or DB patching. If this happened after rebooting, that's most likely the issue. Also, check your DST patches and make sure they're all in order, although that's a bit of a stretch. you never know

If not, can you be more specific. Curious about the circumstances under which this happened.

Thanks,

Mike
