What is the + or - on the completion of a bg job?

This may not be unique to solaris, but that's where I've seen it...

[user@solaris_s]$
[2] Done ./TestHarnessPontus.sh <input$i >>output$i 2>&1
[5]+ Done ./TestHarnessPontus.sh <input$i >>output$i 2>&1
[user@solaris_s]$
[1] Done ./TestHarnessPontus.sh <input$i >>output$i 2>&1
[3]- Done ./TestHarnessPontus.sh <input$i >>output$i 2>&1
[4]+ Done ./TestHarnessPontus.sh <input$i >>output$i 2>&1
[user@solaris_s]$

What is the plus or minus sign displayed above?

Dave...

The plus sign represent the "current" job (most recent started or restarted), while minus is for the "previous" job (first non current job).
They are shortcuts to job numbers (the ones between square brackets) but I think almost nobody is really using them ...
