troubleshooting the sound problem in Solaris 10
I have no sound in Solaris 10. I have another sound card that I can try, but before I do that, is there a way to see if my sound card is being found by Solaris? I tried lspci. command not found. Even though many commands are not the same, some are the same as what Linux has. I am at docs.sun.com trying to figure out all that I can about Solaris. How can I troubleshoot the no sound problem? If I add another sound card will Solaris automatically find and configure the settings, or is there something I must do? Is there a website for getting drivers for Solaris? I don't mean just the manufactures' webpages. There are open source drivers too. Which manufacturers are supporting Solaris by making drivers for it? I know nvidia is one that supports Linux and Solaris.
