I've posted in your thread. The home directories are usually created in /export/home so for someone called username, their home directory would be /export/home/username.
I have finally have the resolution on why the system was going back to the login banner after 25 minutes. It was the script used for the XiG driver for the ATI video chipset in my system. This was a classic brain-cramp.
The XiG set of drivers for the Dell Inspiron 4000 w/ an ATI graphics chipset has a license, that when properly installed takes the driver from "demo" mode (25 minutes at a time) to full use mode. The installation has a specific directory that will be used to find the license. It needs to be the only license there.
I also purchased a new driver from them ($99.00 USD) for the ATI chipset for systems that use ATI graphic cards. This will include free upgrades for the life of the license and/or until a new version is released. Current is 2.26 next is 3.0, so this will pay for itself.
I also purchased from Sun the Solaris 10 for Intel 32/64 w/ the JDS release 2 and 1 year of Sun Connection Support for patches and updates. The issue is getting their licensed recognized. (Currently working with Sun's Tech Support.)
This is a sweet desktop. I recommend a trial use.
