SMC driver 4 Solaris9 x86

I have a SMC 10/100 ethernet card and need to figure out if I need a driver or need to reinstall it. It finds the loopback but not hme0.

I don't think it's going to show up as an hme device. What devices show up when you do an "ifconfig -a"? Do you have any smc, dnet, or nei devices?

Everything that was recognized at install time will show up with "ifconfig -a". Have you tried to plumb the device? For example:
ifconfig smc0 plumb

Make sure that your card is listed in:
/boot/solaris/devicedb/master
/etc/driver_aliases

ifconfig smc0 plumb returns: no such interface
The master list shows a Xircom Ethernet Parralell port card but no pci ethernet card.
I looked @suns website and found some device names for SMC cards and none worked.
Suppose that means the device is not installed. I will try to figure out how to install new hardware but so'mo help would be spiffy :,)

Ok os I found SMC cards that are supported but are not the model I have. Mine is 1211 10/100. Could I use any of those drivers listed in the HCL or would I be better off buying a card on the list?
