Shutdown Command make Harm to FS

Did the command shutdown -y -i6 -g0 harm the file system in Solaris 10? Because once i type this command, the terminal will prompt me to logout to prevent any damages on the files system. Any ideas on this warnings?

No, it won't harm the filesystem. The warning is just there to get any logged on users to save whatever they're doing, since any open programs will be killed during the shutdown.

To reboot your machine, save some keystrokes by running this command instead of the shutdown one:
Code:
init 6
