Hi,

When can we expect Solaris 10 09/7 to be released?

Never. No such release was ever planned.

That probably was Solaris Express Developer Edition, which has now been substituted by 1/08.

So when is the next release of a newer version of Solaris 10 then? In other words, what will be after release 08/7?

This may help clarify this issue:

Recently, it's been updated every quarter.

Ok...Im a bit confused here...

Tell me please whats the difference between Solaris 10 (STANDARD...like the one I have running) compared to Solaris Express Dev.???

1. Does it have the CDE Desktop?
2. Is it still UNIX like Solaris 10 is?? Or, did they change the code to make it "UNIX-LIKE"???
3. And MOST importantly.....Does this have more hardware support than Solaris 10?

The difference is roughly 1. Solaris Express being the beta what is expected to be Solaris 11.

Certainly still Unix. Not sure about what difference you make between them though.
