The repository is for 2009.06. You might use instead the newer packages that are online.

Indeed. But why do you want to download it instead of installing from the network ?

Basically I like Solaris,
I want to install it on my harddisk and have maximum packages.
For Fedora, 1 DVD will do all for me.
How to use the repo DVD image of Solaris 11?
There are 2 DVD images, I have to combined them? Then burn on a dual layer DVD?
Can I mount the image file in Solaris as Virtual Drive?
I got too many questions to ask,
probably you can suggest me where to read Tutorials for beginner?

Any configuration will work. A whole disk, a primary partition, an extended one, another disk, an USB disk. I experienced all of them.

The instructions about how to combine the images are clearly explained just before the download links. The instructions on how to enable the repository from the image are on the iso itself.

Solaris 11 Express getting started documentation is available here: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-7799

By the way, AFAIK, the Solaris 11 Express repository doesn't contain OpenOffice so you might still want to download the latest OpenSolaris repository.
