Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to Solaris.
I have recently downloaded the install, CD1 and CD2 Images from the Sun Site for the Intel Platform.
Problem - When I boot from the install disk the SunOS bug Trap screen opens up with a prompt asking me if I wish to debug. It wont allow me to go any futher.
Yeah I boot from the CD on a powered off system. The SunOS screen (Blue) comes onto the screen and then give a prompt saying there is a problem, spoken in hex, and asks me if I would like to de-bug.
What kind of system you have would also help. For instance, I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop, it is a Intel Pentium IV. I have tried to install Solaris 8 2/02 x86 and it blows up because the laptop has some strange hardware that Solaris can't handle.
