I have installed the solaris10 on an x40 ibm. I have two problems with jds.
1st. when i insert a cd or dvd the system ejects the media. I have configured the system not to mount the dvdrom automaticaly and it works.
is there any patch to use or an specific configuration?
2nd. mozilla dosent start. in cde it works perfectly.

Is it the case with all CD/DVDs? - In other words, is the failure rate 100%?
If you have other OS installed on the same system, does it recognize the CD/DVD {now}? and are you able to play the media files?
On Solaris 10: If "vold" is running, you can try stopping it with "/etc/init.d/volmgt stop"; and then mount the media manually, and then try to open up any of the files that are on CD/DVD.
