This kind of goes back to a thread a bit ago about how it is mirrored.
If it's via raidctl then run the following commands
Code:
# raidctl
Controller: 0
Volume:c0t0d0
Disk: 0.0.0
Disk: 0.1.0
(Substitute in the volume from the above command in the one below)
# raidctl -l c0t0d0
Volume Size Stripe Status Cache RAID
Sub Size Level
Disk
----------------------------------------------------------------
c0t0d0 68.2G N/A OPTIMAL OFF RAID1
0.0.0 68.2G GOOD
0.1.0 68.2G GOOD
it should show failed if one has failed and you are using raidctl.
If you are running Veritas a 'vxdisk list' should show your failed disk
If you are running Disk Suite then 'metastat' should show you what has failed.
If you are doing a ZFS mirror then 'zpool status' should show the failure.
Normally the light on the drive turns orange if you check it.
