Here's mine:
Code:
$ ls drivers/gpu/drm/vc4
Kconfig        vc4_drv.c           vc4_hdmi.c       vc4_kms.c          vc4_render_cl.c     vc4_validate_shaders.c
Makefile       vc4_drv.h           vc4_hdmi.h       vc4_packet.h       vc4_trace.h         vc4_vec.c
vc4_bo.c       vc4_dsi.c           vc4_hdmi_phy.c   vc4_perfmon.c      vc4_trace_points.c  vc_image_types.h
vc4_crtc.c     vc4_fence.c         vc4_hdmi_regs.h  vc4_plane.c        vc4_txp.c
vc4_debugfs.c  vc4_firmware_kms.c  vc4_hvs.c        vc4_qpu_defines.h  vc4_v3d.c
vc4_dpi.c      vc4_gem.c           vc4_irq.c        vc4_regs.h         vc4_validate.c
$ ls -lh drivers/gpu/drm/vc4/vc4_firmware_kms.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 55K Aug  1 20:42 drivers/gpu/drm/vc4/vc4_firmware_kms.c
That's for kernel-5.19.0.

The fkms driver appears to be there, but doesn't work!

So, they're both using the same source code. Does this throw any light on the subject for you?
https://gitlab.com/sndwvs/slarm64-cu...e/linux-5.19.x

I came accross that linked as a subdirectory of slarm64.org/source/
I've recently had it that slarm64 uses standard slackware slackbuilds

My personal take on it is that slackware aarch64 & slarm64 are better operating separately. Slarm64 wants to be an arm64 distro based on slackware. Slackware-aarch64 wants to be a slackware distro first, and arm is the second priority. I feel fairly sure Pat would not want dodgy drivers going out, but there's a conflict when the vanilla kernel doesn't cut the mustard. Anyhow I only ended up arguing with Exega & DrMozes over there, so I went away.

I suspect slarm64 uses more patches, but I have yet to have anything but top class behaviour from it.

I *think* slarm64 uses the patched kernel source from the Debian based PiOS repository, as used by Raspbian - or whatever it is called these days. Clearly if the kernel is patched, the configs need to reflect this, so its not just a question of configuring the vanilla kernel.

As I say, my understanding is that the current 5.19 kernels do not have proper support for the Broadcom graphics chip, but that that support is in the pipeline.

again slarm64 corresponds to slackware64 with the same vanilla kernel. specific settings are added to the final images (if necessary) and a kernel of 2 types 1 from the manufacturer (with maximum hardware support) 2 this is kernel.org with patches that have not yet been upstream.
