Well got something different at the bottom. Looks better but still not there.

Wow !!!! Success
There are some errors but I am able to login.
I hope you can see them in the file below.
Thanks for sticking with me on this.
I have allot to learn about slackware.

I guess the install program needs some modifying or the user needs to know what the installer doesn't do. I hope this post helps some others out.
Now onto getting my wifi connected, getting a user created and a DE running, updating and whatever else.

To keep from having to edit the grub menu everytime, change this line
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
in /etc/default/grub to this
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rootdelay=5"
and rerun grub-mkconfig
