Recently I installed Debian from the network, seemed quite straightforward. I was wondering if there was any way to do the same with Slackware. My CD facilities are ooo at the moment.
Maybe try zipslack - you could install what you need once you get it booted - it only takes 100 megs or so to start and supposedly can fit on a zip disk. You could then install it to a real partition once you get it installed - they have information in their faq on how this is done here: http://www.slackware.com/faq/do_faq.php?faq=zipslack#1
