Installation and then ... ?

I installed 10.2 from two CDs. After rebooting I get into a "darkstar" console environment with two files and nothing else. What would be the expected behaviour of a successful Slackware installation? Or which steps are further required?

When you get to that darkstar login prompt type "adduser username"
where you substitute your desired user name for username. ;-)
Then after you do that following instructions and it returns you to
a prompt, enter "exit" to logoff as root, then at the login prompt
type the username you just added. After it returns you to the prompt,
then type "xwmconfig" and choose your window manager / desktop environment.
After that returns you to a prompt, type "startx" and you'll be in the
X window environment you chose.

Learn about Slackware 10.2 from here.
