A few months ago when i installed slackware 9.1 from a linux format DVD, I had trouble getting partition magic 8 to not shadow (shadow meaning that the windows partition still exists on my hdd, but it does not show in the lilo boot loader) my windows partition. I got frustrated after a month so i formated the slackware partition (i needed to update a lot of websites i usually make on freewebs accounts w/ .tk domains, freewebs doesn't work w/ any linux browsers) and backed all my important files up. My question is how do i either use partition magic before i install linux? or after i use partition magic how do i configure lilo to show the windows partition?

add:

to the bottom of your /etc/lilo.conf file (replace hda1 with the windows partition), and then run lilo as root (or /sbin/lilo).
