Google Chrome installs but fails to load

I need some guidance please.

I complete a fresh install of Slackware 14.2/x86_64 today on a Dell Optiplex 7040 and completed all the updates.

I followed this guide page to install Google Chrome
https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:so...:google_chrome
Downloading the available .deb package from Google and using the Slack.Build found here
https://mirror.slackbuilds.org/slack...google-chrome/
Slack.Build completed with no errors and the install of the new package completed successfully.

Upon running the program from KDE it starts but fails shortly after with no messages.

I then removed the package and used the script from this location:
https://gist.github.com/ruario/9672759
This completed with no warnings, and the install completed successfully.

Upon running the program from KDE it starts but fails shortly after with no messages.

Where do I find logs to see why the Google Chrome is closing or not opening?

Thank you for any guidance!

You can start chrome from a terminal in debug mode and see what you get
