I just recently installed Slackware on my system and I just thought I'd share something that I was able to do and that you might want to do yourself.


Before I installed, I saw that there were only CD isos on the slack website and since I only had blank DVDs I wouldn't waste that much data in just burning a fifth of a DVD for each CD. So, I tried to make a DVD slackware release and succeeded.

It was in fact quite easy to make a DVD out of the install:

All you have to do is to get the Slackware 9.1 folder from a mirror and follow the instructions in the isolinux folder but the only difference with it is that you don't need to remove any folders since it will all fit on the disk.

FYI: You can also get a script here that will do this for you. Pretty quick and very easy to do.
