The Quartz64 was discussed some time ago. I had plans to purchase one. I decided to order a HoneyComb LX2K instead because it is mature. It costs about the same as an average desktop machine. I typically build my own PC's, but the main board was a little pricey at $750. Still cheaper than my ZaReason Strata 7440 laptop that I bought late in 2014 (Intel i7 4810MQ chipset). The HoneyComb by Solid Run Ltd. is certified as "System Ready". Meaning it's designated as "working out of the box" with the Linux kernel on Aarch64 architecture. All that I need to do is integrate the boot loader and arm trusted firmware for it to boot. I may just use the HoneyComb UEFI firmware built from source, with Slackware customization, and boot Slackware using that.

PCIe x1 Slot and 1x SATA 3.0 Port among other things, we'll see

If you are after the PCIe slot and SATA ports, the RockPro64 is already mature and already supports those specs on Slackware. The main issue with the Quartz64 is that myself and Stuart do not have one.

seems like would be natural progression to one of these

I agree.
