Ncurses is required because slackpkg uses tput and tput is not in aaa_elflibs.
I've been looking in slackpkg to try and figure out where libmpfr is required but I've not yet pinned it. It's possible that it's a nested dependency like libmpc.
Ok I pinned it:
On slackware 14.1 awk uses libmpfr while it's not required on 14.0 awk (I was looking on an older system that's why I missed it)
slackpkg uses awk
Oh .... I forgot to mention this too:
In the build_minirootfs.sh
a/eudev is going to be an issue unless you build from current
I added a/udev so that it should work on both.

Hi,
i have tried building the initial root fs by buildroot (on my fast host pc last night) - to get an clean "-march=armv7-a -mfloat-abi=hard -mfpu=vfpv3-d16" and it had also stopped on eudev on rhe first try's ...
the last i could come to, was trying to boot my new initial root and it stopped with "kernel to old" so i may try it tonight with an newer kernel ...
thats the answert to Stuart's "Have fun :-)" - yes i have it - lol

re Hi,
some hours later ...
maybe someone knows where this come from - any ideas are welcome ...
(buildroot compilation to pi2)
this time i changed to the original buildroot toolchain and try to compile the kernel also ..
.. i have used the kernell whitch i have comileld often in last time - native on pi2 and crosscompile with crosstool-NG 3.18.y (the last from pi's github - 3.18.16) ...
and while compiling with its own "buildroot cross tolchain" it sais something like this ... arm-buildroot-linux-gnueabihf-gcc.br_real: error: -mfloat-abi=soft and -mfloat-abi=hard may not be used together
and i can't find where the sh****it tool insert that wrong -mfloat-abi=soft ...
any - ideas ???
greetings

i have found that my "target Optimization" have to be changed again ...
if one build with - VFP - the kernel (here 3.18.y till today ..) insert this -mfloat-abi=soft
so i changed the optimization to -march=armv7-a -mtune=cortex-a15.cortex-a7 - hope that helps ...
