Bad signature?

Following a few weeks of frustration, with X constantly crashing, I noted that the latest updates included some tools for the gpu (Pi4/400).

As I am currently unable to start X at all - probably file corruption caused by the crashes - I decided to start from scratch. Following the instructions here: https://docs.slackware.com/slackware...4_bcm2711_rpi4 I keep getting a Bad Signature error.

My first attempt was from my local NAS repository (very fast). When that gave the bad signature error, I tried again from slackware.uk (OK speed-wise). Same result. Finally, I tried using "SLKSRV=ftp.arm.slackware.com::slackwarearm" (slow). Same result again.

I have tried re-downloading the gpg key, to no avail. Is anyone else having this issue?

Code:
~/slackware$ ./scripts/slacksigchk.sh slackwareaarch64-${SLKVER}
gpg: assuming signed data in `bcm2711_rpi4.sdimg_latest.img.xz'
gpg: Signature made Fri 29 Apr 2022 08:28:34 AM BST using RSA key ID 1623FC33
gpg: BAD signature from "Slackware ARM (Slackware ARM Linux Project) <mozes@slackware.com>"

I ran rsync to make sure all the files are up to date. As a test, I mirrored my files from slackware.uk. My files are stored in a different location, but all works ok. Did you update the signature file (.asc)? The latest image points to:

Code:
-rw-r--r-- 1 500 500       455 May 12 03:09 bcm2711_rpi4-sdimg_5.17.6_1.img.xz.asc

Yes, followed the instructions to the letter, but will try again.

BTW, I've posted a followup in the freezing thread, which you might find interesting!

UPDATE: Went through it all again and this time it worked OK! Might have been finger trouble on y part, or maybe slackware.uk hadn't finished updating when I downloaded!

Either way, all well now. Thanks for your help!
